Dentistry at the Springs - Tooth Colored Fillings

Tooth Colored Fillings

In the past amalgams, a mix of dark and extremely visible metals, were used to fill holes to protect and prevent further damage to teeth. This is no longer the only option. We use the latest technologies and advancements for your dental care to not only help and protect your health but also give you the smile you deserve.

Our tooth-colored fillings are made of composite resin that we blend to match the natural shade of the surrounding tooth. This way, once the resin is placed and cured your fillings blend in with the rest of your teeth with little to no visible differences!

Beyond the obvious visual improvements, tooth-colored fillings are also more advanced than amalgams because:
      - Amalgams can become warped, damaged, or even loosened over time.
      - Fewer portions of the tooth need to be removed for tooth-colored fillings.
      - Due to the composition of tooth-colored filling the resin bonds directly to tooth which is not only easier but is also more secured than amalgams which have to be manually shaped to the tooth so that it will be held in place.

The material used to make the tooth-colored fillings can also be used in bonding, a processes used to fix smalls chips and cracks, hide stains, and elongate shorted or worn down teeth. Usually, this can be completed in a single appointment at an affordable price.
